Once the flange connection is open, the safety block can be inserted and the pressure can be safely transferred to it by pulling back the spreading wedge. If necessary, the MATCH Flange Spreader can now be used on the second stage to open the joint further by repeating the previous step. (Replacement for SB1 EQUALIZER)
